P6 INFORMATION

As information becomes available on the course it will be posted here or refer to the Serfas P6 Adventure Race Event Forum for the latest updates. This information will not be revealed until closer to that date...however we cantell you....

Be in the first 15 teams to enter and you could become a sponsored team with all the goodies sponsored teams get!

We will make a draw from the first 15 teams entered and the winning team will become Team Serfas. Our new event sponsor Serfas will give the team a bundle of goodies including team clothing and equipment, including some mountain bike shoes! The only condition...is to send us a few pre-event reports on the team training and how preparation is going...and off course - race as Team Serfas on the day!

DISCIPLINES:
The event will involve mountain biking (you need to provide), run/walk, paddle(not a kayak this year), simple navigation, team work/strategy and mystery activities.

You will need to provide your own mountain bike and we can tell you now that you'll need a car sized inner tube for the paddle activity- one for each team member.

TEAM SIZE:
The event is for teams of 4 or 2 people.

Coprorate Teams must include at least one female and and all team members in permanent employment at the same organisation.

NO SUPPORT CREW!!:
Because we are using a rogaine type format NO support crew is required. All transitions will be in a central area so you can do these by yourself.

COMPULSORY CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT:

The safety of our participants is important to us. For this reason we insist every participant carries certain minimum clothing and safety equipment. Each participants compulsory gear will be checked by race officials at registration.

Each Team will need: a good first aid kit (must contain as a minimum: 2 metres ofadhesive strapping tape, 4 bandaids, 2 gauze pads, 4 cm width crepe bandage, 2 pain relief tablets (Panadol or similar), 2 anti-inflammation tablets), compass, torch, bike pump and a bike toolkit.

Each person will need: a weatherproof parka, thermal gloves and hat, polypropylene or thermal long sleeve shirt and long johns,  a survival blanket, a whistle, and a buoyancy aid/life jacket for the paddle/water activity.
