The KidsCan Great New Zealand is all set for the 7th December this year starting at 6.30pm in centres throughout New Zealand.

A major fundraiser for KidsCan, the Santa Run concept is simple – a 2-3km fun run/walk in a Santa suit!

Each adult entrant receives a free Santa suit and a goodie bag as part of their entry fee. The goodie bag includes a $30 voucher to spend on Mizuno shoes at the athletes foot.

29/11/11 Please note: As Santa numbers keep rocketing up (great news for KidsCan!) it means we're not sure we'll be able to supply everyone with a goodie bag. We do have heaps, so most people will get one - but just a wee disclaimer so nobody gets too upset on the night. Thanks for your understanding.

5/12/11 6pm Sorry but Santa suits are going fast now too, so we can't guarantee you will be able to have your first pick of mens/womens suits if you are entering from now on. At this stage Wellington has run out of womens suits. All other centres are okay for now. Sorry - this great growth from last year was not expected!

6/12/11 11pm Sorry Auckland has run out of ladies flavoured Santa suits now so if you enter from now you will get a man flavoured one.

The courses are kept easy so everyone can finish, with minimal training and are highly visible for maximum impact.

As mentioned, Santa Suits are provided to adults entered but there have been awesome outfits and dressing up in previous years. Lots of elves, rudolphs and other characters make the run and are rewarded with a spot prizes for the best dressed at each venue.

Our recipient charity is KidsCan with proceeds from the event going to ensuring all Kiwi kids affected by poverty can look forward to a brighter future.

Started in 2008 by Lactic Turkey Events, the Santa Run has grown from an Auckland only event, to having Santa Runs at the same time and date in Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland. Last year there were over 600 Santa’s nationwide. This year Dunedin, Tauranga and Whangarei have beem added to the list of venues.

Waitemata Plaza, Viaduct Harbour - Customs Street West - plenty of parking in parking buildings within 10 minutes walk.

Hamilton

Hamilton City Hawks Clubrooms, Grantham St, Boat ramp Car park. 
Tauranga

The start is at Pilot Bay at Mt Maunganui and the finish is on the main Mt Maunganui beach
Wellington

Frank Kitts park (just south of the TSB Arena) under the Christmas tree. Look for Santa's.  There are car parking buildings in the vicinity or 2hr parks around Oriental Parade.

Christchuch

The event centre for the Christchurch Santa Run is accessed from the Armagh Street entrance into Hagley Park (intersection of Rolleston Ave and Armagh Street). Drive into Hagley Park and follow the parking directions.

Dunedin The event centre is on the beach near the St Clair Surf Club

TIMETABLE:

Registration: 5pm - 6.20pm at the event centre. At registration you collect your race number and Santa suit.
Race Briefing: 6.15pm
Start: 6.30pm
Prizegiving: 7.15pm

SANTA SUITS:

Santa suits are adult one size fits all sizing. Santa suits are mens (trousers) or ladies (skirt), top, hat, belt and beard. You will be asked to choose mens or ladies when you enter. Santa suits are provided on a first in first served basis.

Santa suits are collected from registration on event day.
