2019 Riverhead Rampage (21-ish km)

Awesome fun family day racing at Hallertau Riverhead Rampage today. The three girls did the 5km with the youngest Annie-rose taking it out and coming 13th overall our of 283, 2nd women and 1st junior women! Despite letting the little bean win the running, the bigger girls won the jump photos with distinction! The jump force in them is strong!

Madeleine Collins did the 10km and loved racing in the forest. So proud of her in her first trail run in years – nailing it!

I did the 21km which ended up 23km and pushed harder than I have in a long time. I was redlining with my average heartrate for the run at 160bpm for the 2 hours 9mins when I’m a lot more used to the longer slower stuff with heart rate more in the 120-130bpm average! I came 6th and was surprised I was only 8mins down on Tom Hunt who won and a couple of mins to the next two places.

Another cool social family event fundraising for Riverhead school and it was great to catch up with so many running buddies!

Thanks Photos4sale for the photos!
