Sorry we’ve had to cancel the 2021 event as per this announcement
Bad news unfortunately. The organising committee for the Whenuapai Half and Fun Runs have had to make the hard call to cancel the event for 2021.
The event is a fundraiser for the Massey Athletic Club – mainly to raise funds for junior programmes and as such cannot run the event at a loss and incur expense for the club. Although the club receives minor funding from various trusts, the entry fees to date don’t even cover the ever increasing traffic management cost, let alone the other larger expenses like medic cover, timing, MC, event management etc.
Entries seem to continue to be impacted by COVID and a busy calendar from rescheduled postponed events.
We will process a refund to all participants of your full entry fee less $5 for the entry system/merchant fees already incurred. If you paid by credit card this will go back onto your credit card over the next week. If you paid by bank transfer please email us your bank account number so we can process the refund.
We will try again with the event next year, but for now thank you for entering this year and therefore your support! We are sorry we can’t bring you this event in 2021

- The course is not considered safe for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

REGISTRATION
Please pick up your race number and timing chip on Saturday, 27th March between 4-6pm at the Massey Athletic Club – 53 Granville Drive, Massey.
You will also be able to pick up your race number and timing chip on the race day at the Whenuapai School Hall from 7am on event day.
LATE ENTRIES
- Online entries close at 6pm on Saturday 27th March 2021.
- Late entries will be accepted on Saturday, 27th March between 4 pm – 6 pm from Massey Athletic Club at 53 Granville Drive, Massey. You can also pick up your race number at this time.
- Late entries will be taken on the day for all events at Whenuapai School from 7am. Entries will close 15 minutes before each event. Please enter early. There is a $10 surcharge for late entries (does not apply to the 6km fun run).
- Sorry we do not have eftpos facilities so late entries are CASH ONLY
